LAGOS – In the bid to reposition the team for better performance, the management of the Akure-based Sunshine Stars FC on Monday announced minor reshuffling of its technical crew.
The Media Officer, Chris Okunnuwa, said that this was done ahead of the 2018/2019 Nigeria Professional League (NPFL) season where the team would be expected to better last season’s performance.
Okunnuwa said that although the coaching crew headed by Kabiru Dogo remained unchanged, “the rearrangement sees former player and Assistant Coach, Tokunbo Akinyelure returning as the Team Manager’’.
He gave the breakdown of the Gunners of Akures new technical crew as follows: Technical Director- Akadiri Abiodun, Team Manager – Tokunbo Akinyelure Protocol – Aborowa Gabriel.
Others are: Assistant Head Coach – Kayode Julius, Assistant Coach – Folarin Suleiman, Physical Trainer – Kayode Emmanuel, Goalkeeper Trainer – Busuyi Ibukun and Media Officer – Chris Okunnuwa.
“Interclub Relations Officer – Henry Ogunyomodi, Physiotherapist – Adetula Olumide, Massieur – Jenyo Adetunla, Welfare Officer – Abdulrahman Abdulsalam and Camp Commandant – Abe Ayodeji Oluwaseun.
“Assistant Camp Commandant – Tala Oshodi, Kit Manager – Abdul Wahab, Cameraman – Alade Tubosun, Ball boys/Laundry – Adedamola Amoka and Tayo Dosunmu, Okunnuwa said in a statement.
NAN reports that the Akure Gunners was 18th on the 2017/2018 NPFL log that ended abruptly.
